List of Dates lets you enter several dates or days in their order of importance to you.
For example, if you enter the bid preference Prefer Off Jun 27, 2008, Jun 28, 2008, Jun 29, Jun 26, 2008, Jun 30, 2008, the PBS Scheduler first denies Jun 30, then Jun 26, etc.

Requesting Prefer Off Days of the Week is the equivalent to asking for those days off by dates, beginning with the first such day in the month. For example, stating "Prefer Off Saturday" will treat the first Saturday of the month as infinitely more important than the 2nd Saturday, etc.
There is a difference between entering Prefer Off bids using "List Of Days" (e.g. Prefer Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday), or "Range of Days" (e.g. Prefer Off Between Friday and Sunday).
For example, suppose the 1st day of the month is a Saturday:
1 For List of Days (e.g. Prefer Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday), the priority order of the days is Friday 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, Saturday 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, Sunday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, etc. These individual days are denied in reverse order.
2 For Range of Dates (e.g. Prefer Off Between Friday and Sunday), the priority order of the days is Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd, Friday 7th, Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th, etc.

You can select dates or days of the week, but not both options at the same time. If you click on a date, and then click on a day of the week, the day of the week is selected and your date selections disappear. |
You can select a time range that you want to be off on each day or date.
The bid preference Off Date March 28, 2013 March 27, 2013, March 26, 2013,March 25, 2013,March 24, 2013 Between 07:00 And 12:00 means that you want to be off between 7am and 12pm on each of the dates listed, and it’s more important to be off on the 28th than the 24th.

Setting a time range on each day describes the time you want off on each day within the list. You may be awarded pairings on selected dates, as long as they operate outside the time window you select |
